Yuliya Byelikova is a DFG Fellow at MIDEM, where she leads the project War (Im)mobility: Decision-Making To Leave or To Stay examining why Ukrainians choose to flee or remain during war. Her research focuses on the role of emotions, identity, and external factors in shaping these decisions.
A social scientist with expertise in anti-discrimination and social inclusion, she previously taught at the National University of Economics in Kharkiv and conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity.
