My name is Sajedeh Zavareh, I’m a 27-year-old woman from Iran, currently living in Germany where I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology.

What drives my involvement in the Youth Gender Advocacy Fellowship is the reality faced by women and trans individuals in my home country — those who continue to suffer from systemic and often extreme discrimination.

I’ve always carried the question: “How can I help them?”

Through this fellowship, I hope to explore meaningful ways to support marginalized communities, amplify underrepresented voices, and build bridges between science, advocacy, and human rights.
